13 Alert Traffic: Rollover crash cleared on SH 225 westbound at Independence Parkway: TranStar
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A crash along Highway 225 in the Deer Park area that caused major backups for drivers has since cleared.
Houston TranStar reported the heavy truck crash on SH-225 westbound before Independence Parkway at about 6:16 a.m., issuing a complete roadway closure alert.
SkyEye13 flew over the scene and captured a car upside down, also with what appeared to be an 18-wheeler involved.
TranStar later reported that the wreckage was cleared and the lanes were reopened just after 7:30 a.m.
Another truck appeared to tow away what was left of the car, and the 18-wheeler was hauled away.
The cause of the crash is unknown and it is unclear if there were any injuries.
